I think cover 2 is not as effective in madden as it is in the NFL because we can see the whole field. The saftey's see the route combo's and read the QB and break on the ball.In madden you can run 4 verticals and see all the wr's at once.It too hard to get that aspect of football without doing something like what Backbreaker did.

Zone just needs two settings besides basic have aggressive and passive. That would solve a lot of deep corner floods if you knew they were coming.Good article Zan.

no matter what EA does there are gonna be people that say they f'd up.

in madden 09 or 10, i forgot which one, u could have a purple route play like a deep blue. then in 12 the corner route is the worst zone in the game..

granted i hear people say " If you put it out there, it will defend it normally" Well i shouldnt need to put my Zones in the spot they are "SUPPOSE" to fkn cover, i expect em to run over there themselves.

Purple zones -buzz zones play curls to flat.. They arnt responsible for deep corner routes... Decent article tho... Cv2 is a dying scheme irl ( only 4 teams use it as a base d )... Maddenwise- I think it just depends on my opponent and what he likes to do.. Of course gotta have the right personel ( Cv2 is really effective with great pass rushin dlineman ex. Bears, colts, vikes and buccs- well not lately)..

I think everyone expects too much too soon.. As technology advances the game (hell, every game) will feel more real and we then can expect a true legit game.. But until then, gotta crawl before u start running..
